Celia Miles
Appalachian by birth and inclination, she calls herself an "nicheless" author because she writes in a variety of genres, but her heart is in Appalachian historical novels. Her most recent books, Sarranda and it's sequel, Sarranda's Heart both chronicle the hardships of the Civil War and the social challenges for women of that era.
